Gas Infrared system

The design of the IR.D.S. system reflects the practical expertise and knowledge gathered over many years of infrared experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry as well as months of R & D, Computer Modelling and System Testing.

 Features:  Benefits:
InfraRayTM  EMITTER
Reflecting Screen
Replaceable Screen
Metal Fiber Radiating Surface
Extended Lifetime

The primary radiating surface reaches a more uniform and far higher operating temperature than emitters without screens, as a result emitter efficiency is higher. The screen protects the radiating surface against coating splashes and other contamination that can reduce emitter lifetime.

Enclosed hood
Totally enclosed and pressurized
Prolongs components lifetime
Improves system efficiency
Reduces system maintenance

Keeps equipment and wiring inside of hood clean and cool. Reduces hood maintenance and prolongs emitter lifetime. Increases system efficiency since heat is recovered from the backside of the emitters.

Proprietary exhaust system
Based on a cascade pressure drop system
Uniform exhaust flow profile
Very even sheet heating

Slots in cascade in the exhaust plenum are tuned to create a very even pressure profile and airflow across the hood face. Allows more uniform heating of the sheet and thus more even moisture removal, which maintains a uniform moisture profile.

Ignition/Detection guarantee
Identical Emitter for Ignition or Detection
Electrode Emitter Design (No Pilot)

Unique design allows a 99% ignition reliability guarantee when IRDS maintenance guidelines are followed. Ignition / Detection problems are virtually eliminated, the major cause of gas infrared system failures.
